DEV-WEB 5.0

A 10 days Web Development Bootcamp was organised by SHE exclusively for 2k25 batch girls of GCEK. This bootcamp provided peer to peer learning experience for the students to learn front-end web development with proper mentoring. Out of the applicants, 18 girls were selected. Learning materials based on HTML,CSS and JS were provided as video tutorials made by our own team. Live doubt clearance and interactive sessions with industrial experts were also conducted. They were given tasks with deadlines in which submission has to be done on GitHub so that they get familiarised with GitHub also. The bootcamp was successful in establishing a forum where the girls could actively ask their doubts with their peers and have an active exchange of ideas.

BUILD HER BITS

SHE GCEK successfully conducted BuildHER Bits, a one-day hands-on workshop on Smart Home Automation. Participants gained practical experience with microcontrollers by building a home automation project from scratch. The workshop covered manual control, automation, Wi-Fi-based control, and live monitoring, providing an engaging learning experience. The session encouraged students to explore embedded systems, automation, and innovative technology through hands-on practice.

SHE GCEK successfully conducted E4E – English for Engineers, an offline language development program exclusively for first and second-year girl students. The initiative was designed to help students assess and enhance their English language and communication skills through multiple stages, including a Diagnostic Test, One-to-One Feedback, Tailored Modules & Subject-based Training, and Language Counselling. The program provided participants with personalized guidance and practical learning opportunities, helping them build confidence in speaking English and improve their overall communication skills.

LEAP - TALK SESSION

SHE GCEK successfully conducted LEAP – Talk Session, an interactive career guidance session for students. The session was led by Ms. Liyana Shahir (2020 Batch), Data Scientist at Mastercard AI Garage, who shared her career journey and valuable insights into AI and Data Science. The talk covered GATE and non-GATE career opportunities, strategies to crack product-based companies, and guidance on building a successful career in the tech industry. The interactive Q&A session enabled students to clarify their doubts and gain practical advice, making the program an inspiring and informative experience.

MATLAB WORKSHOP

SHE GCEK successfully conducted the MATLAB Bootcamp for non-circuit branch students. The five-day offline workshop provided participants with a strong foundation in MATLAB, covering the MATLAB environment and interface, hands-on problem solving, data visualization, and matrix operations. The bootcamp offered practical learning experiences that helped students develop computational and analytical skills, making it an engaging and insightful session for beginners with no prior coding experience.

BIM WORKSHOP

SHE GCEK successfully conducted a BIM Workshop for Civil Engineering students. The offline workshop was designed to provide participants with practical knowledge and industry-oriented skills in Building Information Modelling (BIM). Through hands-on learning and interactive sessions, students gained an understanding of BIM concepts, workflows, and their applications in the construction industry. The workshop enhanced participants' technical knowledge and prepared them for emerging trends in the field of civil engineering.

SHE GCEK successfully conducted WE4U 6.0 – The Ultimate Spotlight for Women Engineers, an initiative to recognize and celebrate the achievements of final-year women engineering students. Organized in collaboration with We-Connect, the Women Alumnae of GCEK, the program evaluated participants based on academic excellence, leadership, extracurricular involvement, social outreach, and innovation. The initiative inspired students to showcase their accomplishments and encouraged them to strive for excellence beyond academics, making the event a memorable celebration of women in engineering.

SHE GCEK successfully conducted μ Workshop an interactive offline workshop aimed at strengthening students' understanding of fundamental physics concepts. The session combined theoretical explanations with practical problem-solving, helping participants develop a deeper understanding of key topics and improve their analytical skills. The workshop provided an engaging learning experience and encouraged students to explore physics with greater confidence.

The exclusive orientation program for first-year girls at GCEK was held on 20th August, marking a vibrant beginning to their new journey. The event was designed to welcome, guide, and inspire our freshers as they step into college life. With insightful sessions, interactive moments, and a supportive atmosphere, INI-SHE-ATE created a space for the girls to feel at home and connect with the spirit of SHE GCEK.
This memorable start was not just about orientation -it was about building confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging.
