Introduction to PYTHON

SHE GCEK conducted Introduction to PYTHON, an offline coding bootcamp started on 21st February from 4:00 – 5:00 PM. The session was handled by Dr. Rafeeque P C, Professor in CSE department, GCE Kannur. It was a six day session which gave a perfect introduction to the language from the very beginner level.

RASPBERRY based system design

SHE GCEK conducted RASPBERRY BASED SYSTEM DESIGN, an offline hands-on session from 12th – 15th February 2023 from 4:00 – 5:00 PM. The session was handled by Dr. Sajesh Kumar U, Associate professor in ECE department, GCE Kannur. It was a four day session for transformative learning and system design.

DEV WEB 3.0

A 10 days Web Development Bootcamp was organised by SHE exclusively for 2k23 batch girls of GCEK. This bootcamp provided peer to peer learning experience for the students to learn front-end web development with proper mentoring. Out of the applicants, 18 girls were selected. Learning materials based on HTML,CSS and JS were provided as online sessions and video tutorials made by our own team. They were given tasks with deadlines in which submission has to be done on GitHub so that they get familiarised with GitHub also. The bootcamp was successful in establishing a forum where the girls could actively ask their doubts with their peers and have an active exchange of ideas.

Hands on CANVA WORKSHOP

SHE GCEK conducted CANVA WORKSHOP, an online hands-on session on 09th November 2023 from 7:00 PM. The session was handled by Ms. SNEHA P (Media Lead, SHE GCEK). In this session she gave ideas on how to create amazing, beautiful, professional graphic designs inside Canva, creating visually stunning content. She covered all of the core skills needed to use Canva efficiently and effectively. She also taught how to use all of the tools and elements available in Canva.

SCHOLAR SPOTLIGHT

SHE GCEK conducted SCHOLAR SPOTLIGHT, a unique session on 26th October 2023 from 7:00 – 8:00 PM. It was a session in which we celebrated the remarkable Grace Hopper Celebration scholarship achievement of Ms Rinshina M K. The purpose of the session was to celebrate her achievement, to explore the journey of success, to share her experiences and unveil the secrets to access it. She also shared about the ways to apply, it’s eligibility and also gave an idea on different scholarships.

E4E 2.0

SHE GCEK conducted E4E 2.0, English for Engineers, an offline session to improve themselves and their knowledge. E4E, English for Engineers is the event just to test your linguistic skills and is envisaged into several stages. Diagnostic Test, One to One Feedback, Tailored Modules & Subjected Training , The Language Counselling. The second stage of E4E, English for Engineers – One to One Feedback gave an opportunity for the participants to have a face to face interaction with the teachers from the expert team.They also helped the students to improve their English language and speaking skills.

UNI TREASURE TREK

The 2K23 batch treasure hunt organized by SHE was an exhilarating adventure that left participants thrilled with cryptic clues and challenging riddles.It tested teamwork and problem-solving skills of the vibrant girls.Participants praised the club's well-organized setup and enthusiasm.It was an engaging,fun-filled event that fostered stronger bonds and demonstrated the club's commitment in creating memorable batch experiences.

IniSHEate

SHE GCEK organized an orientation program, iniSHEate to the vibrant girls of the 2023 batch. Dr.Vandana Sreedharan delivered a very insightful talk on SHE.There was a brief introduction about various events conducted by SHE and also getting to know the current execom members. We conducted fun games for the girls to break the ice and and also welcomed them to the SHE community.

RESUMIFY YOUR FUTURE

SHE GCEK conducted Resumify Your Future, an online handson session on Resume Building on 10th September 2023 from 8:00 - 9:00 PM. The session was handled by Ms. Vismaya, MSc. Nanotechnology at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. The purpose of the session was to help attendees create a fully optimized one-page resume that would help them in the job search, climbing the corporate ladder or application to University abroad. She also shared some of the tips to create an ideal. The session was conducted in Google Meet. The session was proven to be very beneficial for the participants considering the positive feedback we received at the end of the event.

BOND & BEYOND

On 27th August 2023, SHE GCEK conducted BOND AND BEYOND, an interactive session from 7:30 - 8:30 PM. It was a fun filled interactive session with loads of fun and learning from our previous execom members. The purpose of the session was to connect the current execom with the past execoms and share their experiences and new ideas to inculcate in the upcoming events.The session gave a lot of memorable moments.

LET'S CHATGPT

A talk session, Let's CHATGPT was conducted on 5th August 2023 from 8:30 - 9:30 PM.The purpose of the program was to know about ChatGPT and to demonstrate its conversational prowess,problem-solving skills and vast knowledge on a wide range of topics. The session was handled by Mr.Nandakishor M,CEO of ConvAI Innovations and UDEMY AI teacher. The programme ended with a Q&A session, where the speaker cleared the doubts raised by the audience.

E4E (PHASE 2)

The second stage of E4E, English for Engineers - One to One Feedback gave an opportunity for the participants to have a face to face interaction with the teachers from the expert team.
They also helped the students to improve their English language proficiency and speaking skills.

“Lead the leaders was a two day residential camp organised by SHE, GCEK. It was such an amazing programme in which the participants got a chance to interact with inspiring personalities.
